Antony Vinall

Antony Vinall is a Senior Policy Adviser at the EU public affairs consultancy GPlus Europe and a trainer and lecturer on European Public Affairs.

Antony has been an associate of the EU public affairs consultancy GPlus Europe since 2006, advising corporate, public sector and NGO clients on EU policy and processes. His training and lecturing activities include helping countries such as Lithuania, Hungary, Poland, Spain, Sweden and Slovenia prepare for the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, as well as providing training to the European Commission, UK government departments and other organisations.

Having spent seven years as Counsellor (Industry) at the UK Permanent Representation to the European Union in Brussels (UKRep), Anthony has led the team dealing with a wide range of EU regulatory, economic and industrial policies and cases. His 33-year career in the UK public service included responsibility for industrial sectors such as automotive manufacture and information technology, and also Britain’s response to the reconstruction needs of Kuwait after the first Gulf War. 

From 1991 to 1995 he was Minister-Counsellor (Trade) in the British Embassy, Washington DC, following an earlier posting to UKRep as First Secretary (Industry & Competition) in the 1980s.
