Sam Evans

Sam Evans is a values driven, proven coach and leader with extensive experience of leadership and management gained during a successful 28-year career in the Civil Service. She has held several leadership positions as a Member of the Senior Civil Service for 9+ years, including Professional Lead on Mediation for the Civil Service. One of three short-listed for the Civil Service Leadership Award in 2012 with a further nomination for the Leadership award in 2014

She was appointed as a Senior Diversity Champion at the MOJ 2013 and nominated as an LGBT Role Model, spearheading the ‘Straight Allies’ campaign during 2013/14. Sam has significant experience of design and delivery of learning and development materials, including in DWP local office environment (front-line operational materials), creation and delivery of all Career Transition materials at the MOJ 2011-15 and design and delivery of all in-house materials on introduction of the Civil Service Competency Framework and new Performance Management system at the MOJ in 2013/14.

Sam is experienced in delivery of pre-designed Civil Service Learning materials, ensuring consistency of quality and delivery of all deliverables to achieve stated outcomes, with consistently good feedback. She has extensive experience of working in the Civil Service in six different departments and agencies in operational delivery, policy delivery and corporate services roles as well as a successful secondment to the charitable/third sector. Sam was the head of the MOJ Career Transition Service 2011-15, deploying a range of learning and development techniques, including one-to-one and group coaching, mentoring, facilitated group learning, experiential learning and role play.
