Sheena Thomson began her career in military human resources and media operations as a commissioned officer in the Royal Navy, where she mastered the ability to craft clear communication of a complex subject matter in dynamic and challenging settings. Since leaving the Royal Navy, Sheena has held senior multi-sector communication roles in both the government and corporate sectors.
Her strength is in transitional and complex settings. Her previous assignments include spokesperson roles for NATO and the EU, and change and transition advisory roles for the Governments of Egypt and the Emirate of Abu Dhabi Executive Council General Secretariat.
Sheena now specialises in risk mitigation, crisis management and crisis communications. She has responded to numerous military incidents and activism events, aircraft accidents, political crises, cyber security concerns, regulatory challenges, kidnap and ransom incidents and post-IPO issues management. She sits on several expert benches for legal practices and insurance carriers.
Sheena is a Founding CIPR Chartered PR Practitioner, MCIPR, PROSCI Change Management Practitioner, International Association for Risk and Crisis Communication Board member, and member of the BSI Risk Management Study Group on sustainability.
